Nestled in the heart of Rum Point, Dragon’s Pearl is a beautifully renovated two-bedroom, two-bathroom canal-front cottage that captures the timeless charm of old Cayman while offering the modern comforts today’s travelers expect. As one of the original homes developed in the Rum Point area, this special property blends heritage character with thoughtful updates, creating a relaxed and welcoming island retreat. Set on its own spacious parcel as a true standalone home, Dragon’s Pearl offers a level of privacy which is highly sought after in the area. No shared walls, elevators, or common spaces, just your own peaceful waterfront haven surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. The home comfortably sleeps up to six adults, or seven guests in total when including a toddler or baby, making it ideal for couples, families, or small groups seeking both space and seclusion. Inside, the home feels bright and inviting, with natural light streaming through large glass sliding doors thanks to its eastern orientation. The updated kitchen offers generous countertop space, ample storage, and new appliances, making it easy to prepare anything from a quick breakfast to a full evening meal. A cozy breakfast table seats four, while a built-in workspace provides a convenient spot to catch up on emails if needed. Just beyond, the open living and dining area offers comfortable seating for everyone, including a double-sized sofa bed that provides additional sleeping space when needed. Guests who bring or rent a boat can dock it directly at the property for easy access to the North Sound. Four kayaks are provided and can be launched right from the dock, offering a wonderful way to explore the calm canal waterways of Rum Point. Fishing enthusiasts can cast a line straight from the dock, and with a bit of luck, may even catch fresh snapper for dinner. Dragon’s Pearl is perfectly positioned directly across the road from Rum Point Club and Beach. Guests can easily stroll over to enjoy the sandy beach, watersports, and dining options including The Rum Deck beach bar and Solis restaurant. Red Sail Sports is nearby for diving, snorkeling, Stingray City tours, jet skis, and other adventures. The Rum Point Resort’s Blue Flame Restaurant is just next door, and the popular Kaibo Beach Bar and Restaurant is only a short drive away. Up to 7 guests in total allowed if including younger children such as toddlers or infants. Please remember, while enjoying your time at Starfish Point not to remove the starfish from the water as it’s harmful to them. If the booking website does not collect it directly, a refundable security deposit of US$500 will be collected by the property prior to your stay. We reserve the right to substitute equal or better accommodation in the event of a double booking or if the rental is unavailable for any reason, including but not limited to sale or repair.

This house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the kayaks and the short walk to Rum Point Club for swimming, good food, and drinks on the beach. (It’s not a club that you have to join, that’s just the name.) The host was very fast and helpful with any requests or questions we had. We would stay here again.
Highly recommend this property and location! We were very comfortable and thrilled with all of the thoughtful extras such as kayaks, snorkel gear, hammock and so much more!
We had a beautiful stay at this lovely house over a weekend! The house is gorgeous, modern and comes with everything you need for a lovely time. The back patio and porch is stunning and the beds are comfortable. The house was immaculately cleaned. The host was also very responsive. We had a minor hiccup when getting into the house because the lock was stuck, but we received immediate help and in the end we were able to get in. They still sent someone over the next morning to oil the lock. I would highly recommend this place as a romantic and peaceful island getaway!
