We are a company made up of international training and experience, with the love of horses and horseback riding. The idea all started over twenty years ago, when owner Troy Studenhofft decided to turn his hobby of horse-riding into a business. While working in the Tourism Industry at the time and taking friends and old college buddies out on rides from the Holiday Inn, which is no longer around – sadly. With a small savings, began to purchase horses and later made the investment of purchasing an existing business that leased a facility right on the beach in West Bay.
Well this was the beginning and things went slow, but progressed over the years. Troy advanced his training by traveling to the USA and Canada. Chris Cox, one of Americas top trainer was his main influence, and trained with him in Ocala, Florida. He also did work with John Lyons while he was here in Grand Cayman on his clinics.
All this exposure gives us a well rounded approach to setting up and matching our guests with the right horses and providing an awesome experience. Our guides are qualified, knowledgeable, friendly and come from different backgrounds, made up of locals and international. Our horses are well maintained and cared for to meet the standards set by the local Agriculture Authority. We also pay careful attention to our guest personal needs and assurances.
Our stable is located on the beach where the riding is done. So once visitors arrive, you are on your horse and off to your ride. Our facilities have a stablehand/groomer on premises everyday, to ensure that the welfare of our horses is maintained to the highest standards. They are fed three times daily and have adequate water from our city water line. The owner is a licensed Farrier and he ensures the horses are all sound and that regular visits are scheduled with the Government Vet.
Morning and evening rides go out after feeding and care is taken not to stress our horses in anyway. All horses ride English or Western, but only Western saddles are available at present. Helmets are also available.
